another thing that made it pretty ok to be back from vacation was that san francisco is a prettttty beautiful place to live. i am from baltimore, md which for sure has its charms (in fact it is Charm City!) but when you look around, for the most part, it can be a bit trickier to really sigh with happiness at how objectively lovely things are. In San Francisco, it’s hard not to look around and see something beautiful.

On your way between boring daily routine errands and stuff, you can just stop at a community garden and enjoy a gorgeous sunset with soothing purple skies fading into pink as the sun disappears. And it makes the whole night pretty ok. I haven’t spent too much time living in Baltimore as an adult, so maybe if I were in Federal Hill more or something, I’d be that lucky there too. But since I’m here…well, I love it.
